Threaded onto a shaft, it secures, locks, and retains bearings and power transmission assemblies while delivering accurate angular positioning through numerous locking positions. It is used together with matched MB series lockwashers: an external tab on the lockwasher bends into a slot on the locknut to prevent the assembly from
