In the early 2000's this clay was collected from the mine by a local who specialises in small batches of clay

These were fired in a wood kiln in Yixing that fires once each month

This area is famous for it's 2700 year old tree and there are many trees in the forest that are believed to be over 1000 years old

Our aim with this set is to share with western tea lovers the standard of teas in these tea competitions and hopefully to provide some insight into what these tea competition judges deem important in Wuyi Yancha
